• Prepare for Play Test & Evaluation Questions

  Preparing for a Play Test

  • How will you introduce the test?
  • What do you want your testers to focus on?
  • What questions do you need to ask? (How easy is it to do [task]? Is [function/feature/icon] understandable?)
  • How/who will you document?

  During the Play Test

  • Observe. Try not to intervene/help the tester (just note how/what/why they struggle)
  • Listen. Encourage testers to speak out loud about their actions and thought process
  • Discuss. After the test, ask open questions like ‘How did make you feel?’ not leading questions like ‘Was good?’
